Course Name: Science TEKS Overview Grades K-12

Course Description: In this self-paced course, participants will examine the new 2010 science Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and explore models of vertical alignment designed to strengthen knowledge of science concepts and processes. Participants will also examine support frameworks, including the ELPS and RtI, and implementation of those frameworks in the science classroom.

Prerequisites: This course has no prerequisites.

Intended Audience: Grades K-12 science teachers, applicable special education and bilingual/ESL teachers, and coordinators/administrators
