Course Name: More About Tier II for the Math Learner

Course Description: This course is designed to help participants develop an understanding of the Response to Intervention (RtI) Tier II research-based intervention strategies recommended in Assisting Students Struggling with Mathematics: Response to Intervention (RtI) for Elementary and Middle Schools, a practice guide developed by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES). Participants will focus on IES Mathematics Intervention Strategies, Recommendations 3, 4, 5 and 6.

Prerequisites: (1) MSTAR Introduction: An Executive Summary (for participants who did not attend face-to-face MSTAR training and are completing all training via the online MSTAR courses) (2) MSTAR Academy I: Grades 5–6 or 7–8 (face-to-face or online).

Intended Audience: MSTAR Academy I grades 5–6 or 7–8 (face-to-face or online) participants only
