Course Name: MSTAR Academy I Grades 5/6 Facilitated

Course Description: This facilitated training will allow participants to examine the big ideas in the grades 5-6 mathematics TEKS concepts and learn strategies through the exploration of hands-on, student-centered lessons designed to provide connections to College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS), English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS), and Response to Intervention (RtI).

Prerequisites: MSTAR Introduction: An Executive Summary

Intended Audience: This course is open to grades 5-6 math teachers, including applicable special education and bilingual/ESL teachers, and applicable administrators/coordinators.
