Professional development (PD) continues to move in innovative directions. While face-to-face PD has long been a successful method for delivering training, Project Share offers new opportunities beyond the face-to-face experience. Project Share gives educators the ability to join professional learning communities (PLCs), participate in professional development courses, explore content repositories, and use online instructional materials. The first state adopted
online instructional materials in Project Share are for all high school teachers.
In addition to professional development opportunities, Project Share enables all teachers to join an online community that provides support, collaboration, and resources from across the state. Given the vast size of Texas, it is exciting to realize that all teachers – even those from Texas’s smallest, most remote districts - can become valuable members of an online community.
