Course description:
This self-paced course is designed to provide teachers with a core understanding of the new Technology Applications Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for grades 6-8. Participants will explore ways to integrate the TA TEKS into everyday learning experiences. Participants will also examine twenty-first century learning, how technology can enhance the learning, and how students learn to be global citizens. This course was developed by Region 10 (057-950): Texas Education Service Center. CPE credit is 3 hours.
Intended Audience:
This course is designed for grades 6-8 classroom teachers. Instructional Technologists and all other educators are welcome. However, the course requires both the design and delivery of an integrated learning experience in a 6-8 classroom.
